Just received a Dell Precision M90 for $20, but it has no battery, no charger, no HD, and no RAM for it. I do have a 2GB stick at home and a spare HD, but no battery + no charger. It's a tank.

There was a properly-built laptop available from Dell, at some point?

Sweet, thanks! It uses DDR2 RAM and SATA 2.5" for HD.
And it uses the same 130W Dell charger and battery as the Inspiron 6000 series does.

Those parts are expensive! I can find most on eBay for less. Thanks though.

Yeah, it was a workstation level laptop. Not their consumer crap.

Yeah some of them are pretty up there. Definitely use ebay and stuff, but if you ever need a part that you cant find on ebay, that website will most likely have it.
Don't ever buy ram on there though, they charge full price for it

Even their top spec ones seemed flimsy to me, last time I saw any.

I'll snoop around too.
